Focus on Joyful Moments
Life moves quickly. Phones fill with photos we never look back on. Notes get forgotten in drawers. Beautiful everyday moments blur together.
Working with paper is a way to pause. Stopping everyday life to focus on something creative just feels good.
Gather the small things that make you smile.
Honor relationships by making something sweet for the people you love.
Remember an ordinary day and some of the details you might have ignored.
Give yourself a creative outlet that isn’t about productivity or outcome.
It becomes a record of a life. Not just major milestones, but the texture of your days.
How We Practice Joy at Scissors & Glue
In our workshops, we teach the basics of working with paper and cutting, layering, composing, collecting—but we always return to that central theme:
What do you love? What do you want to remember?
Some guests make gifts for loved ones.
Some document their vacations.
Some focus on friendships by writing a letter full of surprises to a friend.
Some create spreads about music, food, or seasons.
Some use their crafting time to just zone out and take a deep breath.
Some chat with the people that are sitting next to them and feel good about meeting a kindred spirit.
There are also people who love the end product but aren’t so keen on making it themselves. That where we jump in. We love making custom creations, scrapbooks, photo books, party activities, favors, kids artwork collages and pretty much anything you/we can think of together that’s made of paper.
There is no single right way to do it and that’s what makes it so much fun.
Until next time, friends. Scissors down, glue capped. ❤️ Alexis
